project territory/precedents

We fail to explore the middle ground between sacred sex and the vulgar obscenity of sex. To design an erotic tangible object, a sound understanding of the body emotionally and physically must be obtained. The female form is a mysterious array of folds, curves, chasms, depth and sensitivities. An invasive exploration of the female sexual mentality and understanding of the bodies receptors and pleasure centres is a taboo, obscene or sacred objective. Focus on internal pleasures as apposed to extreme (and often vulgar) literal pleasures, as reflected in the basic porn industry.

My umbrella ambition overriding this design exploration is to better the sociological attitude of sexual taboos. The tangible design outcome is primarily created to respond to female sexuality and desire, however hold no female exclusivity and are encouraged to be engaged by both all partners. The project form is an outcome derived from researching female sexuality, however it will impact a general audience through a symbolic statement for sexual acceptance and freedom.
The tangible outcome may only physically serve the female population, but in creation, the message will reach the broader co-sex community. It will complement to feminist movement and the evolution of equality and spiritual freedom. Informs those who engage with the object in some varying manner to prompt change, a shift in sexual perception, perhaps on a subconscious level. The object serves a fundamental purpose of sexual awakening and primal desires, but influences the wider community in social perceptions of sex and taboos. Spiritual wellbeing is emotionally driven by fluctuations of the internal unconscious mind. Pleasure is in the existential concept as well as the physical erotic toy.

Manipulation of sex sociology in a co-gender accessible medium.
Hold no feminist precedence or gender biased assumptions, in form construction.
Interaction and involvement of the male population is just as valid and crucial to the tangible outcome/s and marketplace existence. Ideally the form will equally prompt the engagement of female and male interaction.
